The Siam Awakens the Palate with Flair

Possibly the only female-focused travel conference in Asia, the one-day WITx conference will take place in Bangkok for the second year running on Friday, 26 April.

In the morning session named “Coffee & Chat Time”, Sukosol Hotels’ Executive Vice President Marisa Sukosol Nunbhakdi will speak about how she influences the industry, her team and customers. She will be joined on stage by Aya Aso, CEO, Agora Hospitalities, Japan, and interviewed by the conference’s effervescent founder, Yeoh Siew Hoon.

This will be the second time that Khun Marisa has taken part, last year speaking on a panel about the challenges of independent hotellering. She has been selected to speak in light of her 20+ years experience in the Asian hospitality industry; her success at the forefront of an award-winning, world-class family business; passion and industry know-how; and flair for public speaking. Despite running a thriving hotel empire, Marisa finds time to perform (she is an acclaimed singer) regularly at various public and private events; is brand ambassador for many leading Thai and international brands, such as Nokia and Estee Lauder; and is an active spokesperson for several charities, such as the UNICEF breastfeeding and Ramathibodi Foundation parent–to–child liver transplant campaigns in Thailand.

WITx, a spin-off from the annual Web in Travel (WIT) conference, will once again put the spotlight on (mostly) women executives in the travel industry, who will discuss how females are redefining travel within Asia. Topics on the agenda include: redefining loyalty and the corporate travel and meetings space; authentic leadership; digital, social and mobile habits of women; revenue and yield management. The event targets the travel industry and business professionals who want to be inspired by a varied generation of women travel leaders in different fields and learn about the potential and opportunities of the female market in the digital age of travel.
